Certified Public Accountant, CPA Candidate, Enrolled Agent We are seeking a CPA, CPA candidate, or EA to join our small firm. Position requires in office time in West Point, Iowa but also may allow for some remote work. Duties: - Personal, business, non-profit & estate/trust income tax return preparation - Assist in tax return review - Bookkeeping for a few clients - Develop working relationship with clients via phone, email, texts, & web and in-person meetings - Assist and provide support to other internal team members as needed. - Assist the tax team by gathering tax documentation from clients and distributing final client copies & records - Ability to work extra hours during tax season (up to 70 hours per week) Qualifications: - CPA, CPA Candidate, or EA credential - Have or be able to obtain a PTIN - Pass a background check - Have 2 years with 1040 preparation experience - 1065 and 1120S experience and/or QuickBooks or payroll reporting experience a plus - Experience with Drake Tax a plus - Experience working with paperless system a plus Benefits: - Salary starting at $65k, depending on experience and qualifications - Health, Dental Insurance benefits available - SIMPLE IRA with matching on up to 3% of wages - 8 Paid Holidays per year - 2 week PTO begins accruing upon date of hire Employment Type: Full Time Years Experience: 1 - 3 years Bonus/Commission: No
