Job Summary
We are seeking a Sr SDE – CI/CD & Developer Productivity Engineering to strengthen engineering delivery pipelines, code quality automation, and developer workflows across the Reltio platform.
This is a hands-on engineering role focused on Bitbucket, Jenkins, and Argo CD; consistent SonarQube quality and security checks in CI and local development; and reliable Codecov-based code coverage reporting and governance. The engineer will improve pipeline speed, stability, maintainability, and the clarity of quality gates across teams.
The ideal candidate has 6–9 years of software engineering, build/release engineering, DevOps, or developer tooling experience and can collaborate with development, QE, DevOps, and security teams in a Kubernetes-based, multi-cloud environment (AWS, Azure, GCP).
Job Duties and Responsibilities
CI/CD Pipeline Engineering
- Design, implement, troubleshoot, and optimize CI/CD workflows using Bitbucket, Jenkins, and Argo CD.
- Improve pull-request validation, build performance, deployment reliability, pipeline observability, and failure triage.
- Build reusable pipeline templates, shared libraries, and automation to standardize engineering workflows across repositories.
- Support GitOps-based Kubernetes deployments, environment configuration, release promotion, and safe rollback practices.
- Implement secure management of pipeline credentials, permissions, and service integrations.
SonarQube Integration & Code Quality
- Integrate SonarQube analysis and quality gates into Bitbucket pull requests and Jenkins pipelines, including branch and PR reporting.
- Enable and document developer-local analysis workflows, including scanners, IDE integration, and parity with CI checks.
- Maintain quality profiles, rule configurations, exclusions, and quality-gate policies in collaboration with engineering and security.
- Troubleshoot analysis failures, false positives, coverage ingestion, and performance bottlenecks; help teams remediate findings.
- Ensure policy exceptions follow approved review and audit processes.
Codecov & Coverage Engineering
- Integrate Codecov with automated test pipelines and pull-request workflows across relevant repositories.
- Configure coverage upload, report aggregation, status checks, thresholds, and meaningful coverage-delta reporting.
- Improve reliability and accuracy of coverage data across unit and integration tests, languages, and parallel CI jobs.
- Define practical coverage governance and help teams interpret coverage gaps without treating coverage percentage as a substitute for test quality.
Engineering Enablement & Collaboration
- Create dashboards and reporting for build health, pipeline duration, quality-gate outcomes, and coverage trends.
- Partner with QE, development, DevOps, and security teams to drive adoption, resolve issues, and document standards.
- Automate repetitive maintenance and support self-service troubleshooting for developers.
Skills You Must Have
Professional Experience
- 5–9 years of relevant software engineering, DevOps, build/release engineering, or developer tooling experience.
- Hands-on experience owning or significantly improving CI/CD pipelines used by multiple engineering teams.
- Experience supporting distributed microservices and containerized workloads.
Technical Skills
- Strong hands-on knowledge of Bitbucket Git workflows, pull requests, webhooks, and repository permissions.
- Strong Jenkins experience: declarative pipelines, shared libraries, agents, parallel execution, credentials, and troubleshooting.
- Practical Argo CD and GitOps experience with Kubernetes deployments, synchronization, drift detection, and rollback.
- Hands-on SonarQube administration/integration: scanners, quality gates, quality profiles, PR decoration, and local developer analysis.
- Experience integrating Codecov or equivalent coverage reporting with CI, including coverage artifacts, status checks, and coverage thresholds.
- Scripting or programming proficiency in Python, Bash, Java, or Groovy; ability to debug build and test tooling.
- Working knowledge of Kubernetes, Docker/container builds, Linux, networking, secrets management, and cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP).
- Understanding of secure SDLC, access control, code quality metrics, and CI/CD security practices.
Skills That Are Nice to Have
- Experience with Java/Maven/Gradle-based repositories and multi-module builds.
- Experience with SonarQube security rules, Snyk, or other SAST/SCA tools.
- Experience tuning large-scale Jenkins infrastructure and optimizing test parallelism or caching.
- Experience with Terraform, Helm, Prometheus/Grafana, and deployment observability.
- Experience defining developer productivity metrics and enabling self-service engineering platforms.
- Strong documentation, collaboration, and cross-team technical communication skills.
What Success Looks Like in This Role
- CI/CD pipelines are faster, more reliable, and easier for engineers to diagnose and maintain.
- SonarQube checks are consistently enforced in CI and reproducible through supported local developer workflows.
- Codecov reporting is accurate, actionable, and integrated into pull-request quality decisions.
- Teams have reusable pipeline standards, clear documentation, and reduced manual effort.
- Quality and security gates provide trustworthy signals without unnecessary delivery friction.
