PCIS Engineer

Job Summary

Seeking a PCIS Engineer (Controls and Instrumentation Engineer) with 5+ years of experience in process plant environments. The engineer will develop power and instrumentation engineering packages, coordinate with customers, vendors, construction teams, and offshore engineering teams, and support design reviews, construction, commissioning, and startup activities. The role requires strong experience with process instrumentation, controls, PLC/SCADA systems, electrical distribution, MCCs, VFDs, and industrial control systems.

Responsibilities

• Develop engineering designs and packages for power and instrumentation installations in industrial plants.
• Define project scope with customers and coordinate with offshore engineering teams.
• Coordinate with customers to obtain required engineering inputs.
• Work with vendors and construction teams to obtain information required for design completion.
• Participate in design reviews with customers and construction teams.
• Support construction and startup activities.
• Lead electrical startup of process and packaging equipment.
• Prepare Instrument Datasheets, I/O Lists, Instrument Lists, Wiring Diagrams, and engineering documentation.
• Support instrumentation selection, controls and hardware design, calibration, and verification activities.

Required Qualifications

• Instrumentation Engineering background.
• 5+ years of experience in instrumentation and control design engineering for industrial/process plants.
• Experience specifying and selecting process plant instrumentation.
• Knowledge of PLC and SCADA systems for industrial networks.
• Experience with LV electrical distribution, power distribution panels, MCCs, and VFDs.
• Knowledge of NEC requirements.
• Knowledge of Machine Safety and CAT 3 wiring.
• Knowledge of UL508A control panel design.
• Experience with electrical troubleshooting and electrical schematics.
• Knowledge of Fisher Valves, Micro Motion Flowmeters, Rosemount transmitters, E+H Flowmeters/Transmitters, Rockwell control and communication systems, and Allen Bradley VFDs.
• NFPA 70E training and qualification.

Work Requirements

• Onsite work in Inwood, West Virginia.
• Ability to coordinate with customers, vendors, construction teams, and engineering teams.
• Ability to support construction, commissioning, and startup activities.
