Job Title: Sr. Anaplan Consultant

Location: Seattle, WA (Remote)

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:

Review business requirements and user stories and translate them into comprehensive test scenarios and test cases.

Perform functional and technical validation of Anaplan models, including modules, lists, hierarchies, formulas, actions, and processes.

Validate model-to-model, model-to-data hub, and model-to-target system integrations using Anaplan Connect, APIs, Airflow, and related integration tools.

Perform functional, regression, UAT, integration, performance, and end-to-end testing for planning models and connected planning workflows.

Develop and execute end-to-end QA strategies for user stories and planning solutions.

Maintain test plans, test cases, traceability matrices, execution reports, and defect tracking documentation.

Work closely with Product Owners, business planners, data engineers, developers, and other stakeholders to ensure quality releases.

Conduct data reconciliation, data integrity validation, schema validation, and lineage verification.

Validate data ingestion, transformation, and processing across ETL/ELT pipelines.

Perform API and integration-layer testing for REST APIs, microservices, and downstream systems.

MUST HAVE SPECIFIC KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:

Strong hands-on experience with Anaplan.

Anaplan Model Builder Level 3 or higher certification; Solution Architect certification is highly preferred.

Strong knowledge of Anaplan model structures, modules, lists, hierarchies, formulas, actions, processes, imports, and exports**.

Strong understanding of Anaplan Application Lifecycle Management (ALM).

Hands-on experience with Anaplan UX testing and model validation.

Strong QA experience covering functional, technical, integration, regression, UAT, and performance testing.

Strong understanding of FP&A / Financial Planning & Analysis processes.

Ability to translate business requirements and business rules into detailed test scenarios and test cases.

Experience testing data integrations, data ingestion, scheduled jobs, APIs, and enterprise data flows.

Strong understanding of data validation, reconciliation, data integrity, and data lineage.

Experience with Anaplan Connect, APIs, Airflow, or similar integration technologies.

ADDITIONAL SKILLS AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS:

Experience with Jira, GitHub, SharePoint, and Microsoft Teams.

Exposure to AWS, Azure, Snowflake, or Databricks environments.

Knowledge of Azure Data Factory or similar ETL/ELT tools.

Experience with Python, PyTest, Postman, and Selenium is preferred.

Exposure to REST APIs, microservices, and integration testing.

Experience with Power BI or Tableau is an added advantage.

Snowflake / Azure / AWS certification is preferred.
