Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Forward Deployed Engineer for a high-impact, 6 to 12-month engagement with a critical enterprise customer. As a contractor, you will hit the ground running to unblock complex implementation hurdles, build custom data pipelines, and accelerate the client’s time-to-value. You are a mercenary engineer who thrives in ambiguity, writes impeccable code, and can seamlessly manage client stakeholders without requiring internal hand-holding.

Core Responsibilities

Rapid Deployment & Integration: Own the immediate execution and deployment of our platform into the client’s legacy or cloud infrastructure.
Custom Development: Develop, test, and ship custom data connectors, APIs, and microservices tailored to the client's specific ecosystem.
Technical Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve complex infrastructure, security, and performance bottlenecks inside the client's environment.
Documentation & Handoff: Build clear technical documentation and architecture diagrams to ensure a seamless handoff to the client’s internal engineering team at contract completion.

Required Skills & Experience

4+ years of hands-on software engineering experience, ideally with a focus on enterprise integration or data engineering.
Strong programming skills in Python, Java, or Go, with hands-on experience building/consuming REST/gRPC APIs.
Expert-level knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS/Google Cloud Platform/Azure) and database management (SQL, NoSQL, or Vector databases).
Exceptional consulting skills—ability to manage scope creep, handle difficult technical stakeholders, and deliver under tight deadlines.
Available for immediate onboarding and open to occasional travel to the client site if required for critical deployment phases.
