Job Description

The Intern gains experience and an overall feel for the company and the financial services industry by attending meetings, delivering presentations, exploring business-specific tasks, and working closely with cross-functional groups to better understand the organization. Over the 10-week summer internship program, this job participates in a robust training and onboarding program followed by an ongoing speaker series, lunch-and-learns, and cohort engagement activities. The Digital & Client Experience (D&CX) team is a diverse area within TIAA that solves real business problems. D&CX's purpose and objective is to delight clients by transforming TIAA's culture and practices around client centricity, creating confidence and simplicity in our end-to-end experiences. Key Responsibilities and Duties
Summer Interns will work on an exciting mix of strategically-aligned challenging assignments and projects that help drive the achievement of the organization's strategy and mission. Managers and colleagues will work side by side with summer interns to ensure development and learning. Candidates can expect to gain an understanding of TIAA and the Financial Services industry and will be involved in creating resolutions for complex problems and/or transactions where business expertise is required. Other intern responsibilities may include:
  • Performs clerical duties such as taking memos, organizing documents, maintaining files, photocopying, faxing, etc. as needed
  • Assists in preparing information and research materials, including Powerpoint presentations.
  • Takes notes during meetings and provides to team members.
  • Researches and gathers documentation as directed by colleagues.
  • Attends company functions, including trainings programs, speaker series, lunch-and-learns and social networking events that provide opportunities for career growth and personal development.
  • Shadows multiple office jobs and trains in a variety of tasks.
  • Gains experience and an overall feel for the company and the financial services industry

D&CX interns will have an opportunity to join one of the following teams:
  • Experience Design: Designs end-to-end digital client experiences that unlock innovation and delight our clients. Interns may contribute to research, interaction and visual design, prototyping, AI experiences, and design systems work.
  • CX Strategy & Transformation: Builds cross-enterprise, client-obsessed culture that enables client-centric behaviors. The intern will support the team through leveraging voice of customer, experimentation, and closing the loop with clients, and will facilitate cross-functional practices that connect the dots for all associates to work as "One TIAA."AI,

  • Preferred majors: Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), Interaction Design, UX/UX Design, or Graphic/Visual Design, Product Management, Business, Economics, or Information Systems, Human Factors, Cognitive Science, or Psychology, Data Analytics, Data Science, Statistics, or Business Intelligence, Communications, Marketing, or a related client-experience field

  • Ability to analyze data to identify trends.

  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office products (PowerPoint, Word, Excel and Outlook).

Additional Requirements
  • Current enrolled in a degree-seeking program with expected graduation date between December 2027- June 2029
  • Minimum GPA of 3.0
  • Must have authorization to work in the U.S., and not require current or future work visa sponsorship to retain authorization to work in the U.S.

Base Pay Range: $22.00/hr - $30.00/hr
Actual base salary may vary based upon, but not limited to, relevant experience, time in role, base salary of internal peers, prior performance, business sector, and geographic location. In addition to base salary, the competitive compensation package may include, depending on the role, participation in an incentive program linked to performance (for example, annual discretionary incentive programs, non-annual sales incentive plans, or other non-annual incentive plans).
