Not just an AV and IT vacancy. The one where you become the technical authority.

Technology design in buildings is still treated as an afterthought by too many consultancies. This one has made it a specialism. That changes the kind of work you get, the clients who hire you, and the conversations you are part of from day one.

This is a Senior Technology Specialist role at a mid-sized building services consultancy in Central London. They design intelligent building systems: AV, ICT, security, access control, and integrated smart building solutions. The projects span commercial, education, healthcare, and high-end residential sectors. Some of the schemes are genuinely complex. None of them treat technology as a last-minute addition.

You will lead technology design packages, develop specifications and schematics, engage with clients and other design disciplines, and take ownership of delivering technology solutions that work in the real world. You will have a voice in how the team approaches its work and room to develop the consultancy's capability in emerging areas as the market evolves.

You have relevant experience in building technology design: AV, ICT networks, security systems, or structured cabling, ideally across a range of project types and sectors. You understand how technology integrates with mechanical, electrical and architectural design rather than existing in a separate lane.

London is the right market for this work. The pipeline is strong and the profile of clients means the projects are worth doing.

If you have spent time in a team that treats technology as secondary, this is the opposite of that. Come and be the one who knows what to do with it.
