Supply Chain IT Solution Architect

Key Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end IT solution architecture and design for supply chain initiatives, translating business requirements into scalable and resilient technology solutions.
• Define and maintain the architecture vision, roadmap, reference architecture, standards, governance, stage gates, and reusable design patterns.
• Conduct architecture reviews, technology evaluations, and build-vs-buy assessments.
• Architect solutions across WMS, WCS, WES, TMS, planning, inventory, fulfillment, ERP, SAP S/4HANA/BTP, and custom IBM iSeries/AS400 applications.
• Design and govern integration patterns across IBM iSeries, WMS/WCS/WES, ERP, TMS, SAP S/4HANA, SAP BTP, Google Cloud, IBM Sterling Integrator, EDI, APIs, middleware, event messaging, file exchange, and partner connectivity.
• Provide architectural leadership for warehouse automation and robotics, including ASRS, AMR, PLC, Fortna, AutoStore, Exacta, Savoye, iPack, Cubiscan, Plus One, Osaro, and related material-handling technologies.
• Establish reliable and scalable data flow, integration frameworks, data dictionaries, traceability standards, and canonical data models.
• Design and implement real-time data streaming and message-queuing architectures that support reliable, resilient, and scalable enterprise integration.
• Drive modernization of legacy platforms and applications, including IBM iSeries/AS400 environments.
• Define environment strategies, testing approaches, observability, SRE practices, security controls, disaster recovery, operational runbooks, release processes, incident/problem management, and root-cause remediation.
• Develop capability models, target-state architectures, transition roadmaps, application rationalization strategies, and technical documentation.
• Partner with Industrial Engineering, Operations, Maintenance, IT Operations, IT Security, Data, Finance, vendors, and executive stakeholders.
• Identify opportunities for automation, analytics, AI/ML, workflow optimization, technical-debt reduction, and process improvement.
• Establish project milestones, contribute to resource planning and scheduling, manage technical dependencies, and influence project outcomes.
• Mentor analysts, developers, and architects while promoting architecture best practices and emerging technologies.
• Drive continuous improvement and establish reusable architectural patterns across projects and business units.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related discipline; Master's degree preferred.
• 10+ years of IT experience, with significant experience in Solution Architecture or Application Architecture.
• Proven experience as a Solution Architect, Application Architect, Enterprise Architect, Lead Designer, or Engineering Leader supporting enterprise-scale initiatives.
• Strong experience in Supply Chain, Distribution, Warehouse, Logistics, Transportation, Fulfillment, or Manufacturing environments.
• Demonstrated experience delivering major enterprise systems across multiple sites, platforms, and technology environments.
• Strong experience with legacy modernization and integration.
• Proven ability to translate business strategy into technology roadmaps and executable architecture plans.
