We are currently looking for Director of Sales & Dealer Network Development, Germany, the details Job responsibilities as below:

👤 Who You Are:
We are establishing the Sales and Dealer Network Development function of our Germany National Sales Company (NSC) and seek a highly experienced, hands-on Director of Sales & Dealer Network Development to build and lead this critical business area from the ground up. This role combines full responsibility for dealer-driven sales performance and the strategic development, expansion, and professionalization of the dealer network across Germany. The successful candidate will work closely with the German management team and Europe Regional Centre to implement scalable sales structures, ensure dealer operational excellence, and build a high-performing, customer-focused distribution network.

🎯 Key Responsibilities:

Build and Structure of Sales Function

  • Establish and lead the dealer-based sales organization for the German NSC.

  • Define and implement structures, processes, and policies for sales operations.

  • Set, monitor, and steer KPIs across wholesale and retail performance.

  • Lead, coordinate, and develop Area Managers.

  • Ensure strong collaboration between NSC and dealer network to achieve volume and profitability targets.

Dealer Performance and Sales Management

  • Manage dealer performance through KPI frameworks, dashboards, and regular performance reviews.

  • Drive wholesale, retail, and small B2B sales via dealer network.

  • Oversee pipeline management, lead management, and conversion processes.

  • Support dealers in marketing planning and local sales initiatives.

  • Implement training programs to improve dealer sales capabilities.

Dealer Operational Readiness and Excellence

  • Ensure full readiness of dealers including showroom and workshop operations.

  • Oversee CI & CD implementation, construction, and facility standards.

  • Ensure proper onboarding and setup of new dealers.

  • Manage wholesale financing, stock management, and inventory planning.

  • Implement and monitor the 3R principle (right car, right time, right location).

  • Ensure implementation and usage of IT systems (CRM, DMS, ordering systems, and GAC system interfaces).

Dealer Network Development

  • Define and execute national dealer network strategy and expansion planning.

  • Identify, approach, and acquire new dealer partners.

  • Conduct dealer visits, pitches, evaluations, and selection processes.

  • Perform due diligence and contract negotiations with prospective dealers.

  • Define dealer standards, compensation models, and policies.

  • Ensure onboarding, operational setup, and continuous performance improvement of all dealers.

Channel Strategy and Management

  • Define and execute channel strategies across retail and small fleet segments.

  • Support development of structured approaches for small, medium, and large fleet customers in collaboration with fleet function.

  • Develop approaches for public sector, purchasing cooperatives, and special accounts through dealer network.

  • Ensure clear channel definition, conflict management, and optimization.

Systems, Reporting and Governance

  • Establish reporting structures, dashboards, and performance tracking systems.

  • Drive continuous improvement of processes, systems, and tools.

  • Ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.

  • Manage budgets related to sales and dealer development activities.

💼 What You Bring:

  • University degree in Business Administration, Automotive Management, or related field.

  • Minimum 10 years of relevant experience in automotive sales and dealer network management.

  • Proven leadership experience managing sales teams and dealer networks.

  • Strong experience in dealer network development and distribution strategy.

  • Experience in building new market organizations or fast-growing environments is highly preferred.

  • Native or fluent German and fluent English required; additional languages are a plus.

  • Strong commercial and strategic thinking capabilities.

  • Deep understanding of German automotive retail and dealer landscape.

  • Excellent negotiation and stakeholder management skills.

  • Ability to combine strategic leadership with hands-on execution.
