Lead Data Engineer

Position: Lead Data Engineer
Location: Parsippany, NJ
Employment Type: Contract-to-Hire (C2H)
Important Notes:
We are looking for candidates with strong hands-on experience in Python, Snowflake, and SQL.
Please submit candidates with a core Data Engineering background. Candidates whose experience is primarily focused on Big Data are not a fit for this role.

Job Description
Responsibilities:
Develop, manage, organize, store, and analyze enterprise data and data systems.
Participate in all phases of the software development lifecycle for Snowflake solutions, including planning, development, testing, and QA.
Collaborate closely with engineering teams to design and implement scalable data solutions.
Ensure platform performance, availability, and scalability.
Troubleshoot production issues, identify root causes, and implement preventive measures.
Thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

Required Skills

10+ years of experience in Data Engineering.
5+ years of hands-on experience with Snowflake.
Strong expertise in SQL and Python.
Experience building and maintaining data pipelines.
Hands-on experience with Spark/Scala.
Knowledge of Airflow and/or Informatica.
Familiarity with CI/CD, Git, and Jira.
