Job Description

Salary up to £65,000 DOE

At inspiring vet care, our people are at the heart of everything we do. As the UK’s number one vet care provider, we're trusted with the care of over 2 million animals, delivering our purpose of healthier animals and happier owners.

Easipetcare Kettering has been proudly serving the local community since 2010. As a single-site practice, we’ve built lasting relationships with our clients and their pets, and we’re known for our approachable, down-to-earth service.

Our purpose-built practice includes four consultation rooms, a bright and welcoming reception area with separate cat and dog waiting spaces, a theatre and preparation room, imaging suite, in-house laboratory, and dedicated kennel, cattery and isolation areas. You’ll also find a shared office for admin work and a kitchen and plenty of tea and coffee to keep you going.

Practice Highlights

Our caseload is diverse, covering dogs, cats, rabbits, ferrets, and other small furries, giving you a great balance between consultations and surgery. Routine procedures include spays, castrates, lump removals, and dentistry, as well as a range of soft tissue surgeries. We have excellent working relationships with local referral centres, ensuring our patients always receive the best possible care.

You’ll have access to high-quality equipment including ultrasound, digital X-ray, an in-house IDEXX lab, electro-surgical unit, multi-parameter monitors, and a capnograph alongside everything you need to perform at your best.

How You’ll Make a Difference

As a Veterinary Surgeon, you’ll work collaboratively with the wider practice team to deliver a high standard of patient and client care across a varied and rewarding caseload.

You’ll continue to develop your clinical skills and interests while sharing your knowledge and experience with colleagues, contributing positively to the clinical culture of the practice. You’ll be an integral member of the clinical team, delivering excellent care and supporting the ongoing development of those around you.

Key Responsibilities

We understand that life doesn’t stop outside of work, which is why we offer flexibility to help you achieve a great balance. A full-time role typically involves 40 hours per week across four days, with a shared Saturday rota of 1:3 (9am–12pm) and time off in lieu. Part-time applications are also warmly welcomed.

You’ll be joining a close-knit team of three vets, six RVNs, one ANA, and five receptionists, supported by visiting specialists in orthopaedics and cardiology. Our nurses play an active role in consultations and surgery, creating a collaborative and caring environment where everyone’s skills are valued.
We’re passionate about supporting professional development. If you’re pursuing or considering a certificate, we’ll happily support you to achieve your goals. We also believe in giving back with our team working closely with charities such as Blue Cross, Cats Protection, and several local animal welfare organisations.
