Job Description

Life Space Digital is reshaping the out-of-home media landscape through the deployment of digital screens in high-traffic office, multifamily, and retail environments. Our platform delivers content-rich experiences and targeted advertising directly to building occupants and visitors — starting in elevators, lobbies, and shopping center concourses. Backed by an experienced leadership team and aggressive growth targets, we are scaling across key U.S. markets with a focus on speed, precision, and long-term value for our partners.

As a high-growth digital out-of-home (DOOH) media startup, we are seeking an Accounting Manager to help build and manage the accounting function. Responsible for month-end close, revenue recognition (ASC 606), revenue share calculations, payroll, audit readiness and taxes. CPA and startup experience preferred.

What you get to do:

  • Close & Reporting: Own the monthly close and maintain US GAAP books; prepare and deliver the monthly financial reporting package to management.

  • Accounts Payable: Oversee the AP function — ensure vendor payments, reimbursements, and card transactions are coded and processed on time in Ramp, and that spending follows the company's budget approval process.

  • Accounts Receivable & Revenue: Oversee billing, collections, and cash application; own revenue recognition under ASC 606, including revenue-share calculations.

  • Lease Accounting: Maintain lease schedules and ensure compliance with ASC 842, including proper classification, measurement, and reporting.

  • Payroll: Partner with HR on payroll processing and commission calculations; review payroll for accuracy, ensure proper recording and accruals in the GL, and support compliance with federal, state, and local payroll tax and benefits reporting.

  • Audit & Tax: Serve as the primary contact for external auditors and the external CPA firm; support the annual audit and ensure timely filing of corporate tax returns.

  • Compliance: Manage multi-state registrations and ongoing compliance filings.

  • Systems & Controls: Strengthen internal controls and lead ERP selection and migration as the business scales.

Who you are:

  • 5-8+ years relevant experience including team leadership.

  • CPA preferred; BS/BA in Accounting or Finance.

  • Strong US GAAP/ASC 606 expertise; hands-on rev rec or contract cost experience.

  • Proficiency with QuickBooks, Excel, and bill/payroll tools; ERP experience (NetSuite/Intacct) preferred

  • Clear communicator, process builder, and results-driven operator.

  • Programmatic ad revenue or revenue share experience preferred.

  • Multi-state/sales tax, cross-border payments, or vendor tax documentation preferred.

  • First-year audit or ERP migration exposure preferred.

  • English/Chinese bilingual preferred.

The base pay range for this position is $110,000 - $140,000; however, base pay offered may vary depending on job related knowledge, skills, candidate location, and experience.
