On behalf of M&G, AMS are looking for a Technology Procurement Lead based in London, United Kingdom. Please note this is a hybrid working model with 3/4 days per week in the office.

Job Description - The Role

Procurement is undergoing a transformation, moving from a business unit-aligned, transaction heavy model to a category-led and commercially focused operation.

The Technology Procurement Lead is responsible for delivering sourcing and commercial activity supporting a significant technology transformation project.

Working closely with Technology and business stakeholders, the role will develop sourcing strategies, run competitive procurement exercises, manage supplier engagement and negotiate commercial agreements across CRM, customer experience and digital voice transformation initiatives.

Candidate Profile: Key accountabilities, skills & experience;

What you'll do:

  • Partner with Technology and business stakeholders to understand requirements and develop sourcing strategies, leading end-to-end sourcing activities across CRM platforms, customer engagement technologies, digital communications solutions and associated technology services.
  • Manage and deliver RFIs, RFPs and competitive tender processes, including supplier evaluations, commercial scoring, proposal analysis, clarification sessions and presentations.
  • Develop data-driven sourcing recommendations, total cost of ownership models and business case inputs, ensuring alignment with programme milestones and delivery timelines.
  • Lead commercial negotiations for software licensing, implementation services, support agreements and managed service contracts, securing value through cost optimisation, savings and risk-balanced commercial structures.
  • Build strong relationships with Technology, Finance, Legal, Risk and Operational stakeholders, acting as the primary Procurement contact and presenting recommendations to project and governance forums.
  • Manage supplier engagement throughout sourcing exercises, supporting stakeholders in evaluating commercial options while maintaining effective relationships with strategic suppliers and challenging incumbent positions where appropriate.
  • Ensure all procurement activity complies with governance, policy and audit requirements, maintaining sourcing documentation, contract records, supplier due diligence and third-party risk assessments.
  • Promote best-practice procurement processes, consistent sourcing methodologies and the effective use of eSourcing tools to drive successful sourcing outcomes.

The skills you'll need:

  • Significant experience delivering technology procurement and sourcing activity within Financial Services industry.
  • Experience developing sourcing strategies and leading competitive procurement exercises.
  • Demonstrable experience sourcing CRM, customer engagement or customer experience platforms, ideally including Salesforce.
  • Experience sourcing digital communications, contact centre, customer interaction or voice technologies, ideally including Avaya.
  • Strong experience running RFI/RFP processes and structured supplier evaluation exercises.
  • Experience negotiating software licensing, implementation services and managed service agreements.
  • Experience working closely with Technology stakeholders to develop sourcing strategies and sourcing recommendations.
  • Strong commercial analysis and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple sourcing activities simultaneously and deliver to demanding timelines.
  • Comfortable operating in a changing environment and managing competing priorities.
