Kforce has a client in Wheat Ridge, CO that is seeking a Senior Mechanical Design/Sustaining Engineer.
About the Opportunity
A growing engineering technology company is seeking a Senior Mechanical Design/Sustaining Engineer to support a diverse portfolio of precision measurement and monitoring products. This role combines product sustainment, troubleshooting, continuous improvement, and new product development in a collaborative engineering environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Support and improve existing products through troubleshooting, testing, validation, and engineering changes
- Perform root cause analysis and resolve product, manufacturing, and customer quality issues
- Design mechanical components and assemblies using SolidWorks or similar CAD tools
- Develop and execute product testing and validation plans
- Partner with electrical, software, manufacturing, and quality teams to deliver robust product solutions
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on reliability, quality, and manufacturability
- Create and maintain engineering documentation, specifications, and test reports
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Robotics, Mechatronics or related field or equivalent work experience
- 5+ years of mechanical design engineering experience
- Strong background in product sustainment, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis
- Hands-on experience with mechanical testing and validation
- Proficiency with SolidWorks or similar CAD software
- Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills
- Experience with electro-mechanical systems and/or PCB-based products
- Manufacturing or in-house production support experience
- Measurement, instrumentation, calibration, or medical device experience
- FEA experience is a plus
- Competitive compensation package including bonus and equity

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
