Global Payroll & Benefits Manager

Southampton, UK | Hybrid Working


About the Opportunity

A growing international technology organisation is seeking an experienced Global Payroll & Benefits Manager to support the delivery of payroll and benefits operations across a diverse global workforce.


This role offers the opportunity to work within a fast-paced, collaborative environment, ensuring the accurate and compliant administration of payroll while contributing to the continuous improvement of employee benefits programmes across multiple countries. Reporting into the senior People function, you will work closely with HR, Finance and external partners to deliver an excellent employee experience.


Key Responsibilities

Global Payroll Operations

  • Manage monthly payroll processes across multiple international locations.
  • Ensure payroll activities are completed accurately, on time and in compliance with relevant legislation and regulations.
  • Act as a key contact for external payroll providers and vendors.
  • Support payroll audits, controls and process documentation.
  • Investigate and resolve payroll queries and discrepancies.


Benefits Administration

  • Administer employee benefits programmes across global markets.
  • Support benefit renewals, enrolments and vendor relationships.
  • Assist with benchmarking and reviewing benefits offerings.
  • Contribute ideas to enhance employee engagement and benefits participation.


Compliance & Governance

  • Ensure payroll and benefits processes remain compliant with local employment, tax and regulatory requirements.
  • Maintain accurate records, documentation and audit trails.
  • Work collaboratively with HR, Finance and Legal stakeholders to manage risk and support governance standards.


Process Improvement

  • Support payroll system enhancements, automation initiatives and process optimisation projects.
  • Produce payroll and benefits reporting for key stakeholders.
  • Act as a trusted point of contact for payroll and benefits-related queries across the business.


About You

You will bring:

  • At least 5 years' experience in payroll operations.
  • Experience managing payroll across multiple countries or regions.
  • Strong understanding of UK payroll legislation.
  • Exposure to benefits administration and vendor management.
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to handle sensitive information confidentially.
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
  • Experience working within a fast-paced, international organisation would be advantageous.
