Job description

Job Summary: Senior BMC Helix Developer / Administrator
- Act as hands-on administrator, developer, and integrator for BMC Helix platform (v26.2), replacing legacy ServiceNow capabilities.
- Provide tier-3 support for production issues across Helix modules: Smart IT, Digital Workplace, Service Catalog, Incident, Change, Request, and PC Store.
- Troubleshoot and resolve submission failures, approval errors, workflow exceptions, authentication, and integration issues.
- Perform root cause analysis, document incidents, and ensure permanent fixes.
- Participate in on-call rotation for critical platform outages and major failures.
- Manage environment promotion (Dev QA Prod), change control, and release validations for Helix configurations/customizations.
- Build and maintain Helix-native monitoring and KPI dashboards for platform health metrics (login, usage, submission rates, approval, and integration).
- Configure and optimize AR System audits, custom KPIs, scheduled escalations/filters, and operational reports.
- Define and tune alert thresholds for critical failures and anomalies.
- Collaborate with Technology Operations to provide platform health and adoption reporting.
- Design, build, and maintain Helix customizations: forms, workflows, filters, escalations, and record/process definitions.
- Develop and enhance Digital Workplace catalog items, self-service experiences, and PC Store fulfillment flows.
- Optimize Incident and Change intake in Smart IT, standardizing forms and approval paths.
- Implement service desk form consolidation and deliver UI/UX improvements across Helix interfaces.
- Build and maintain REST API integrations with enterprise systems (PubSub, SailPoint, Device42, IT Automation, HRIS).
- Support ongoing platform migration, optimization, and user experience improvements in a fast-paced environment.
