Sr. SOFTWARE DEVELOPMENT ENGINEER IN TEST (SDET)

Our client is seeking an experienced Senior Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) to help build and advance enterprise test automation capabilities across modern cloud-based applications and distributed systems.

This role is ideal for an automation engineer who enjoys designing scalable automation frameworks, improving CI/CD quality pipelines, and partnering closely with software engineers to deliver reliable, high-quality applications. You'll work across UI, API, and backend services while helping define automation strategy for enterprise-level software delivery.

Contract Duration: 12 Months

Required Skills & Experience

• 5-7 years of experience in Software Quality Engineering, Test Automation, or Software Development
• Extensive experience automating both UI and API testing
• Strong programming experience with one or more of either Java, JavaScript, C#, Python
• Hands-on experience with Selenium, Cypress, REST Assured, or similar automation frameworks
• Experience with GitHub, GitLab, AWS CodeCommit, or similar source control platforms

Desired Skills & Experience

• Docker and containerized application testing
• Infrastructure automation using Terraform, Chef, or Puppet
• AWS services including EC2, S3, CloudFormation, and CodePipeline
• Service virtualization tools such as WireMock or Mockito

What You Will Be Doing

Daily Responsibilities

• Design, develop, execute, and maintain automated test solutions for enterprise applications
• Build scalable automation frameworks and reusable testing libraries from the ground up
• Create automation that identifies defects across component, integration, and end-to-end testing
• Develop automated testing solutions using Page Object Model (POM) and other modern design patterns
