Job Description

Leidos is seeking an Electrical Systems Engineer to design, integrate, and optimize complex electrical and embedded systems for mission-critical IT and defense programs. In this role, you will develop system architectures, create detailed schematics, perform power and signal integrity analysis, and support PCB design and integration with software and networked components. You will conduct simulations, testing, and verification to meet rigorous safety, reliability, and cybersecurity standards. Collaborating with cross-functional teams, you'll translate customer requirements into scalable solutions, document designs, and support deployment and troubleshooting in production environments.

Responsibilities

  • Design and integrate electrical and embedded systems for mission-critical IT and defense programs
  • Develop system architectures, schematics, and interface control documents
  • Perform power, signal integrity, and reliability analysis for complex boards and systems
  • Support PCB design, component selection, and integration with software and networked systems
  • Conduct simulations, lab testing, and verification to meet safety and cybersecurity standards
  • Troubleshoot and resolve system-level electrical issues in prototype and production environments
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate requirements into technical solutions
  • Create and maintain design documentation, test plans, and technical reports
