The Role

• Operate specialized heavy equipment (hostlers, cranes, top loaders, side loaders) for loading and unloading shipping containers.
• Drive hostlers to accurately position containers and chassis within the intermodal yard.
• Stack, move, and organize containers according to operational needs.
• Conduct pre- and post-operation equipment inspections to ensure safety and functionality.
• Coordinate container movements and tasks with yard personnel and supervisors.
• Maintain a safe work environment by adhering to established protocols and procedures.

What You'll Need

• A valid driver’s license is required.
• Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions and perform physically demanding tasks.
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including all shifts, weekends, and holidays.
• Basic communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively within a team.
• Commitment to safety principles and a keen attention to detail.
• Ability to climb ladders and stairs, and lift up to 50lbs.
