Platform: SAP S/4HANA Public Cloud (version 2602)

Context: Currently engaged in assessment of the client’s SAP FI – Public Cloud install.

All three roles require hands-on SAP S/4HANA PUBLIC CLOUD experience — not on-prem/ECC or Private Cloud. Public Cloud customization runs through SAP BTP / Business Process Automation (BPA) and Fit-to-Standard methodology, not core config changes. Screen out on-prem-only candidates.

Project 1: AP Automation

What it is: Automated invoice capture, OCR implementation, and workflow approvals for non-PO purchases. Currently all manual.

Recommended search title: SAP FICO Consultant – AP Automation / S/4HANA Public Cloud (Mid-level)

Module Expertise	SAP FICO (AP focus), S/4HANA Public Cloud
Must-Have Skills	AP automation, invoice management, workflow configuration, OCR integration
Nice-to-Have	SAP BPA experience, SAP Concur, API-based integration
Background	Functional consultant with industry experience (not just SAP-trained); able to work alongside internal SAP admin (Alexa) and challenge/validate existing configurations

Sourcing note: Industry AP process experience matters more than certifications here — this consultant needs to challenge and validate the client’s existing setup, not just configure a clean slate.

Project 2: Multi-Bank Connectivity

What it is: Automating payment processing. Bank files are currently received and reconciled manually by AP.

Requires activating a separate SAP subscription module.

Recommended search title: SAP FICO Treasury/Banking Consultant – Multi-Bank Connectivity (Mid-to-Senior)

Module Expertise	SAP FICO (Treasury/Banking), S/4HANA Public Cloud
Must-Have Skills	Multi-bank connectivity (MBC) configuration, payment run setup, bank file processing, SAP treasury integration
Nice-to-Have	Multi-entity / multi-company code experience (client has two entities/divisions)
Background	Functional consultant familiar with AP payment runs in S/4HANA Public Cloud. AP payment runs are not yet implemented — resource must be able to build from scratch, not just support/maintain
Engagement Type	Project-based, fixed-price SOW preferred

Sourcing note: Screen specifically for hands-on Multi-Bank Connectivity (MBC) activation/configuration experience — it''s a distinct, licensable SAP module, not generic “bank integration.” Require full-cycle implementation experience given the build-from-scratch scope.

Project 3: Global Hierarchy & Group Reporting Setup

What it is: Unified financial reporting across both entities, with a longer-term goal of standardizing processes via a shared services model (AR/AP alignment underway).

Complexity factors: Three active ledgers (0L – US GAAP, 2L – IFRS); reporting currently via Snowflake/Power BI integration; two company codes with different configurations on the same S/4HANA instance.
