Senior Business Analyst
Duration: 6 month contract to start, strong potential for extensions
Onsite Requirement: Occasional onsite work in the Fort Collins area
Compensation: $60-65/hr
We're looking for an experienced Senior Business Analyst to support a portfolio of complex business and technology initiatives within a large enterprise organization. This role is ideal for a seasoned BA who is comfortable taking ownership, leading stakeholder conversations, digging into complex business processes, and translating business needs into well-defined requirements and solutions.
This position is approximately 70% business analysis and 30% testing and will involve significant interaction with business leaders, Product Managers, end users, and technology teams.
What You'll Do

• Lead and facilitate structured current-state and future-state discovery workshops
• Ask thoughtful, probing questions to uncover business problems, pain points, process gaps, project objectives, and desired outcomes.
• Gather, analyze, and document detailed business and functional requirements.
• Develop process flows using Visio.
• Write clear API requirements. This role does not require API development.
• Develop acceptance criteria and test cases based on business requirements.
• Perform the initial round of functional testing after development is complete before solutions transition to business validation/UAT.
• Partner closely with Product Managers/Product Owners while independently driving requirements, process analysis, and stakeholder discussions.
• Identify gaps, challenge assumptions, and work with stakeholders to determine the best path forward.

What We're Looking For

• 10+ years of Business Analyst experience, ideally supporting complex enterprise technology initiatives.
• Demonstrated experience leading requirements and discovery workshops, not simply participating in them.
• Strong requirements gathering and documentation skills.
• Experience documenting current-state and future-state business processes.
• Experience writing requirements for APIs and system integrations.
• Hands-on experience developing test cases, acceptance criteria, and performing functional testing.
• Experience with Jira and process-mapping tools such as Visio.
• Excellent facilitation and communication skills with the ability to clearly articulate issues and guide groups toward decisions.
• A proactive, detail-oriented working style with the ability to operate autonomously and quickly get up to speed.
• Experience within financial services, lending, commercial credit, or related finance/credit environments (nice to have)
• Previous data migration project experience (nice to have)
