The Role

• Operate heavy machinery to load and unload shipping containers from railcars and trucks.
• Drive hostlers to efficiently position containers and chassis within the intermodal yard.
• Utilize top loaders, side loaders, and/or cranes for stacking, moving, and organizing containers.
• Conduct pre- and post-operation equipment inspections to ensure optimal safety and functionality.
• Collaborate with yard personnel and supervisors to coordinate daily tasks and container movements.
• Adhere strictly to established safety protocols and procedures to maintain a secure work environment.

What You'll Need

• A valid driver’s license is mandatory for this position.
• Prior experience operating heavy equipment in a logistics or industrial setting is preferred.
• A strong commitment to safety and meticulous attention to detail.
• Ability to withstand outdoor work in various weather conditions and perform physically demanding tasks.
• Willingness to work flexible schedules, including potential weekend and holiday shifts.
• Basic communication skills and the capacity to function effectively as part of a team.
