Business Development Manager – IT Staffing Sales (1099)

Location: Hybrid – Princeton, NJ (Preferred 2 days onsite, 3 days remote)
Position Type: Independent Contractor (1099)

CARE IT Services is a WBENC-certified, woman-owned IT staffing, custom software services and consulting firm serving clients across the United States. We specialize in delivering high-quality IT professionals for contract, contract-to-hire, and permanent positions.

We are looking for an experienced Contract Business Development Manager to expand our client base by acquiring new direct clients for our IT staffing services. This is a results-oriented role for a motivated sales professional who can independently identify prospects, build relationships, and close new staffing opportunities.

The ideal candidate has a proven history of generating new business and is comfortable working in a performance-driven environment.

Responsibilities

  • Prospect and acquire new direct clients for IT staffing services.
  • Develop relationships with business owners, hiring managers, HR leaders, and decision-makers.
  • Generate new business through cold calling, email campaigns, LinkedIn outreach, networking, and referrals.
  • Schedule and conduct client meetings to present CARE IT Services'' staffing solutions.
  • Negotiate staffing agreements and pricing.
  • Partner with recruiting teams to ensure successful delivery of qualified candidates.
  • Maintain a strong sales pipeline and consistently meet business development goals.
  • Provide regular updates on sales activities, client meetings, and business opportunities.

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum 5+ years of successful business development experience in the U.S. IT staffing industry.
  • Proven ability to acquire new direct clients and grow staffing accounts.
  • Strong knowledge of IT staffing services and recruitment processes.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
  • Self-starter with the ability to work independently and manage a sales pipeline.
  • Experience using LinkedIn, CRM platforms, and other sales prospecting tools
  • Existing network of hiring managers, HR professionals, and business decision-makers.
  • Experience selling staffing services to small and mid-sized businesses.
  • Demonstrated ability to generate new client accounts within the first 60–90 days.
