The Role • Operate specialized heavy equipment (hostlers, cranes, top loaders, side loaders) to move shipping containers. • Load and unload containers from railcars and trucks efficiently and safely. • Position containers and chassis within the intermodal yard using hostlers. • Perform essential pre- and post-operation equipment inspections to ensure safety standards are met. • Collaborate with yard personnel and supervisors to coordinate daily logistics tasks and container movements. • Maintain a safe working environment by adhering to all established protocols and procedures. What You'll Need • A valid driver's license is mandatory for this position. • Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions and perform physically demanding tasks. • Willingness to work flexible schedules, including second shifts, weekends, and holidays. • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to workplace safety. • Basic communication skills and the ability to function effectively as part of a team. • Ability to lift up to 50lbs and climb ladders/stairs on railcars.
