• Provide systems (server/application/network) administration of the development and production environments
• Perform COTS hardware/software integration, testing and verification
• Support system security activities including vulnerability management, access control and authentication, file system security, system hardening, compliance and auditing
• Support operational site in use of the deployed baseline
• Perform automation development and support activities (Python/Bash/Ansible scripting)
• Documenting defects in discrepancy reports and collaborating with technical team on solutions This position is contingent upon the program award expected in the winter of 2026.

The information below reflects the standard job description for this position: Performs technical planning, system integration, verification and validation, cost and risk, and supportability and effectiveness analyses for total systems, and information technology related responsibilities including design, development, and analysis of computer systems or programs based on and related to user or system design specifications; applying systems analysis techniques and procedures, including consulting with users to determine hardware, software, or system functional specifications.

Analyses are performed at all levels of total system product to include: concept, design, fabrication, test, installation, operation, maintenance and disposal. Ensures the logical and systematic conversion of customer or product requirements into total systems solutions that acknowledge technical, schedule, and cost constraints. Performs functional analysis, timeline analysis, detail trade studies, requirements allocation and interface definition studies to translate customer requirements into hardware and software specifications.

For positions that do not perform IT responsibilities, use E146, Systems Engineer.

Basic Qualifications

• Virtualization experience
• Linux and Windows systems administration capabilities for configuration and management, package management and software installation, troubleshooting/performance optimization, security support tasks
• Ability to script (e.g., Bash, Ansible) to automate tasks and workflows
• Ability to perform IT environment hardening/security management, including administration of Trellix
• Security + or CISSP Certifications or other certification that fulfills DOD 8570 requirements
• Must have an active Top Secret with ability to obtain and maintain SCI security clearance. (Must be a US citizen)
