Information Technology - Project Manager (IT)
Location: Chicago, Illinois (Onsite)
Duration: 12 months
Role Overview
This role is responsible for leading the successful delivery of large infrastructure technology programs and projects. The Project Manager will provide leadership and oversight for several key initiatives, ensuring effective governance, stakeholder management, and timely delivery of project objectives and benefits according to established standards.
Key Responsibilities

• Lead project teams to deliver objectives and benefits, providing oversight to control scope, schedule, resources, and cost.
• Develop project plans, provide executional leadership, and track progress on project goals.
• Identify and manage project risks and dependencies, including contingency planning and developing health restoration plans.
• Ensure adherence to project standards, IT controls, risk, and regulatory requirements.
• Provide structured project management leadership by establishing governance and ensuring clear roles and responsibilities.
• Manage stakeholder expectations and motivate the project team.
• Facilitate discussions and working sessions across various project teams.
• Establish and execute project communication plans, providing timely updates on status and health.
• Partner with stakeholders to plan for and manage project resources.
• Escalate issues in a timely manner to address decisions needed and remove roadblocks.

Required Qualifications
Experience: A minimum of 7+ years of experience leading infrastructure technology projects and guiding teams through complex initiatives of significant scope, scale, and risk.
Skills:

• Program/project management expertise with working knowledge of Waterfall, Hybrid, and/or Agile methodologies.
• Demonstrated ability leading multiple concurrent projects.
• Proficiency in navigating a matrixed environment to influence, inform, and collaborate with all levels of an organization.
• General familiarity with infrastructure technology such as Servers, Storage, Network, Database, and Middleware.
• Familiarity with PPM Tools like Clarity and other tools including ServiceNow, Jira, and Azure DevOps.
• Working knowledge of the MS Office Suite, including MS Project, SharePoint, and Teams.

Preferred Qualifications

• PMI Project Management Professional (PMP) or Agile Certified Practitioner (ACP) certification.
• Experience in a large financial services firm or a highly regulated industry.
• Experience leading application development initiatives.
• Network project experience.
