Design Engineer

Design Engineer A highly successful engineering company in the Dungannon Area is seeking a motivated Design Engineer. You will join a small established design team to develop innovative equipment and machinery from concept through to production. This role offers excellent progression and hands-on exposure to advanced manufacturing processes. Key Responsibilities 3D Modelling: Create detailed 3D models, assemblies, and fabrication drawings using CAD software. Product Development: Design bespoke machinery, components, and structural elements to customer specifications. Bill of Materials: Generate accurate Bills of Materials (BOMs) for the procurement and production teams. Collaboration: Liaise with production staff on the workshop floor to resolve design issues and optimise manufacturing. Continuous Improvement: Modify existing designs to enhance product performance, reduce costs, and improve reliability. Requirements Education: Degree or Higher Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Product Design, or a related technical field. Experience: 13 years of mechanical design experience within a manufacturing or heavy machinery sector. Software: Strong proficiency in 3D CAD software i.e. SolidWorks. Skills: Solid understanding of fabrication, welding, and manufacturing techniques. Whats on Offer Competitive salary of £35k £45k based on experience.
