Design Engineer Our client, a locally owned leading engineering company are in search of a Design Engineer to join their well-established team. Due to company success we are now in search of a talented design engineer to join their team. The job role: If successful in this role you will be involved in designing our clients globally recognised own brand of machines. Checking and approving technical drawings using design processes, procedures, and checklists. Review customer drawings, specifications, and other applicable information to understand application requirements and evaluate the feasibility of their equipment for the application Work with Sales and process engineering to develop sales proposal drawings Perform calculations such as performance analysis, stress analysis, hydraulic system performance, drive train performance, risk assessment, cost analysis, etc as required Create drawings that are easy to understand and convey design intent The successful candidate must have: Relevant Degree or equivalent 3rd level qualification in Mechanical Engineering with a minimum of 2 years within a design engineer role. You will be competent on 3D CAD modelling capabilities and experienced using solid works.
