Job Description

Our client is seeking an experienced Senior Android Developer to join our team in San Leandro, CA. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience developing Android applications using Java and Kotlin, along with a solid understanding of microservices and RESTful APIs.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and maintain high-quality Android applications.
• Develop scalable and maintainable mobile solutions using Kotlin and Java.
• Work closely with product managers, architects, QA engineers, and backend developers.
• Integrate Android applications with REST APIs and microservices.
• Troubleshoot, debug, and optimize application performance.
• Participate in code reviews and follow established coding and development standards.
• Contribute to architecture and technical design discussions.
• Implement secure, reliable, and user-friendly mobile applications.
• Collaborate with backend teams to support seamless integration between mobile applications and microservices.

Required Skills

• Strong professional experience in Android application development.
• Excellent hands-on experience with Kotlin and Java.
• Strong knowledge of the Android SDK, Android Studio, and Android application architecture.
• Experience working with RESTful APIs and microservices.
• Understanding of JSON, API integration, authentication, and client-server communication.
• Experience with Git and standard software development practices.
• Strong debugging, problem-solving, and communication skills.
