Job Description
About Centari
At Centari, we're transforming the world's contracts into actionable intelligence. Every firm has the same AI now. What separates them is institutional intelligence: how the firm has structured deals, priced risk, and navigated markets across every transaction it has closed. It's why a client picks one law firm over another, and why an LP backs one fund over the next. And today, this knowledge sits buried in closed deals and in the heads of the people who worked on them.
Centari brings it to the surface as structured data that AI can act on, empowering companies to generate new revenue and see opportunities no one else can.
The most demanding transactional practices in the world already build on Centari, including deal teams at Ropes & Gray, DLA Piper, Willkie, Fried Frank, and Wilson Sonsini. We proved it in law. Finance and the enterprise face the same problem at even greater scale, and we're going after all of it.
We raised an oversubscribed Series A from investors including Sentinel Global, GTMfund, South Park Commons, Jack Altman, RiverPark Capital, and Recall Capital, and now we're building the team to match our ambition.

The Role
We're hiring a Sales Director, Financial Services to win Centari's largest and most complex fund engagements. You'll carry a book of institutional GPs and asset owners, where each deal involves legal, finance, investor relations, and portfolio teams, and where the first signed funds set the reference every later buyer checks.
This role is based in our New York office, with travel of up to 30%.
What You'll Own
Revenue. You run the full sales cycle, from first conversation to signed six or seven-figure engagement. You’ll bring existing relationships to the table, while making every new relationship your own from the first meeting.
The multi-team sale. The GC needs to know what the fund has agreed to, finance needs audit support and compliance guides, and IR needs fast answers on side letters. You build the case for each team and bring them to one decision.
Commercial terms. You agree pilot success criteria and pricing before a pilot starts, then stay on the account with our customer success team until it converts to a paid engagement. You take each deal through security review and contract negotiation to signature.
Segment expertise. You go deep on one or two sub-markets, such as private credit or middle-market PE, and represent Centari at the industry events their buyers attend.
What You Bring
You've personally sourced and closed six to seven-figure deals with private markets buyers. Come with a specific deal: who signed off, what nearly stalled it, and how you closed it.
7+ years in enterprise sales of software, data, or information services to private equity, private credit, or other private markets firms.
Relationships with buyer personas in the private markets, like GCs, CFOs, heads of fund operations, or operating partners, or a record of building new relationships quickly.
Fluency in the documents the private markets run on: credit agreements, purchase agreements, LPAs, and side letters. Experience in fund legal, finance, or operations is a plus.
Nice to have: you've sold a new category at an early-stage company, where the buyer had no pre-existing line item for what you were selling.
