Guidewire BA

Vaco is hiring a Guidewire Business Analyst with both BillingCenter and ClaimCenter experience for a direct hire, REMOTE role located in the EST time zone.

This role will focus primarily on Guidewire ClaimCenter and BillingCenter, with secondary support for PolicyCenter initiatives.

The Business Analyst will partner with business stakeholders, IT teams, and vendor partners to deliver scalable and compliant solutions across the claims and billing lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

• Gather, analyze, and document business and functional requirements across Claims, Billing, and Underwriting.
• Translate business requirements into detailed user stories, workflows, and acceptance criteria.
• Support Guidewire ClaimCenter processes including FNOL, claims lifecycle management, payments, reserves, correspondence, and regulatory reporting.
• Support Guidewire BillingCenter workflows including billing plans, invoicing, payments, collections, commissions, and financial reconciliation.
• Conduct gap analysis between legacy processes and Guidewire capabilities and help define solution approaches.
• Provide secondary support for PolicyCenter initiatives including policy issuance, endorsements, renewals, cancellations, and servicing.
• Support integrations and data mapping between Guidewire and external platforms, including FMCSA data, telematics providers, fleet safety/driver risk systems, and document management platforms.
• Partner with developers, architects, QA, and product owners throughout the Agile delivery lifecycle.
• Participate in backlog grooming, sprint planning, reviews, UAT, and defect triage.

Required Qualifications

• 5+ years of Business Analyst experience within Property & Casualty insurance.
• 3+ years of Guidewire experience, with a strong focus on ClaimCenter and BillingCenter.
• Strong understanding of claims handling and billing operations.
• Experience within commercial auto/trucking insurance and knowledge of its regulatory environment.
• Experience translating complex business processes into functional requirements and user stories.
• Experience working within Agile delivery environments.
• Experience with JIRA, Confluence, or Azure DevOps.
• Strong communication and facilitation skills across business and technical teams.
• Must be located in the Eastern Time Zone.
• Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without current or future visa sponsorship or visa transfer. This position does not offer sponsorship or transfer.

Preferred Qualifications

• Guidewire ClaimCenter or BillingCenter certification.
• Experience with Guidewire integrations, data migration, and configuration.
• Familiarity with FMCSA, VIN lookup services, telematics platforms, fleet safety systems, and other third-party trucking data sources.
• Experience supporting digital initiatives such as portals, automation, and self-service capabilities.
