Job Description

Duties and Responsibilities

As Duty Manager, I will support the Front Office Manager & Assistant Front Office Manager and assume responsibility for the efficient operation in the following:

  • Take ownership of the Front Office operation during my assigned shift, ensuring operational priorities and responsibilities are effectively coordinated and completed.

  • Maintain a strong and visible presence throughout the Front Office and guest areas, engaging naturally with guests and hosts and identifying opportunities to enhance the guest experience.

  • Support the Front Office Manager and Assistant Front Office Manager in maintaining the highest standards of guest service and operational excellence.

  • Ensure each guest receives a genuine, warm and personalized welcome and that their individual needs and preferences are anticipated and attended to throughout their stay.

  • Take ownership of guest requests, concerns and complaints, delivering thoughtful and appropriate service recovery and ensuring effective follow-up.

  • Support and empower Supervisors, Guest Experience Makers and Guest Services hosts in resolving guest requests and concerns, stepping in when additional authority, judgement or support is required.

  • Work closely with Reservations, Housekeeping, Food & Beverage, Spa, Guest Services, Security and other departments to ensure guest needs are anticipated and met, and the overall guest journey is seamless.

  • Maintain oversight of arrivals and departures, paying particular attention to VIPs, repeat guests, special occasions and guests with specific preferences or requirements.

  • Maintain a thorough knowledge of all facilities and services offered by Six Senses London as well as room types, locations and layouts, rates, packages and relevant Front Office policies and procedures.

Qualifications

To execute the position of a Duty Manager, I must have the required qualifications, technical skills, and experience in a similar role in luxury hotels with proven results including the following:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality, Hotel or Business Management and at least 4 years’ experience in similar luxury hotel operational role.

  • Technical skills include Advanced MS Office – Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook. Familiarity with various hotel systems including POS, PMS and CRM platforms.

  • Fluent in English; I understand that additional languages are preferred.
