Senior Program Manager Banking Payments & Blockchain

Job Summary

Seeking a Senior Program Manager with strong Banking, Payments, and Blockchain/DLT experience to lead enterprise-scale programs involving payment modernization, digital payments, blockchain platforms, APIs, integration, security, regulatory controls, and production delivery.

The role will provide leadership across Business, Product, Architecture, Engineering, Infrastructure, Cybersecurity, Risk, Compliance, Operations, QA, and vendor teams, owning program governance, roadmap, dependencies, risks, financials, milestones, and executive reporting.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead end-to-end delivery of Banking Payments and Blockchain/DLT programs from discovery and POC through implementation and production.

- Define program roadmaps, milestones, governance, workstreams, dependencies, budgets, resources, and success criteria.

- Manage risks, issues, assumptions, dependencies, and executive/steering committee reporting.

- Coordinate distributed onsite/offshore teams and third-party vendors.

- Manage Agile/SAFe delivery, PI planning, release planning, and cross-team dependencies.

- Lead Blockchain/DLT initiatives involving digital assets, tokenized payments, smart contracts, distributed settlement, and transaction processing.

- Coordinate integration of blockchain platforms with payment systems, APIs, data platforms, identity/security services, and legacy banking applications.

- Support payment modernization across ACH, Wire, RTP, FedNow, SWIFT, ISO 20022, and Commercial/Corporate Payments.

- Oversee payment initiation, authorization, processing, clearing, settlement, reconciliation, and exception management.

- Drive technology, regulatory, security, privacy, scalability, resiliency, and production-readiness decisions.

Required Qualifications

- 12+ years of IT experience with strong Program/Technical Program Management experience.

- Strong Banking/Financial Services and Payments experience.

- Experience delivering large-scale Payments modernization programs.

- Working knowledge of ACH, Wire, RTP, FedNow, SWIFT, and ISO 20022.

- Experience managing Blockchain/DLT or Digital Asset programs.

- Understanding of blockchain architecture, smart contracts, distributed transactions, APIs, microservices, cloud integration, security, identity, privacy, and encryption.

- Strong Agile/Scrum/SAFe and SDLC experience.

- Excellent executive communication, stakeholder, risk, dependency, and vendor management skills.

Preferred

- PMP, PgMP, SAFe, or Scrum certification.

- Tier-1 Banking/Financial Services experience.

- Experience with high-volume, regulated transaction platforms.

- AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform exposure.

- Understanding of Java/Spring Boot, REST APIs, microservices, databases, CI/CD, and enterprise integration patterns
