The Role • Operate specialized heavy equipment, including hostlers, cranes, top loaders, and side loaders, to efficiently move shipping containers. • Load and unload containers from railcars and trucks, ensuring accurate and safe handling. • Drive hostlers to position and organize containers and chassis within the intermodal yard. • Perform essential pre- and post-operation equipment inspections to guarantee safety and functionality. • Collaborate effectively with yard personnel and supervisors to coordinate daily logistics and tasks. • Maintain a safe work environment by adhering strictly to established safety protocols and procedures. What You'll Need • A valid driver's license is mandatory for consideration. • Prior experience operating heavy equipment or machinery in a logistics or industrial setting is preferred. • A strong commitment to safety and meticulous attention to detail. • Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, work outdoors in various weather conditions, and climb ladders/stairs. • Basic communication skills and the proven ability to function effectively as part of a team. • Willingness to work flexible schedules, including shifts, weekends, and holidays.
