Managing Engineer

Allstate is seeking a Managing Engineer for our Insurance IT & Digital Solutions team. In this role, you will lead engineering squads delivering secure, scalable digital products that power Allstate's insurance services. You will define technical strategy, oversee solution design, and ensure high-quality delivery across cloud, data, and integration platforms. Partnering closely with product and business leaders, you'll drive modernization, mentor engineers, and champion engineering best practices within a culture of innovation, integrity, and inclusion.

Responsibilities

• Lead design and delivery of secure, scalable insurance and digital solutions
• Define technical strategy, architecture, and engineering standards
• Oversee full SDLC, from planning through production support
• Mentor and develop engineers, fostering a high-performance culture
• Partner with product and business stakeholders to align technology with goals
• Drive cloud adoption, modernization, and API-first integration patterns
• Ensure reliability, security, and compliance of platforms and applications
• Manage technical risk, trade-offs, and continuous improvement initiatives
