Location: San Antonio or Dallas, TX — Onsite
Position Overview

We are seeking a Senior Analyst to support investment performance measurement, reporting, and analysis across a portfolio of funds and underlying investments. This role partners closely with senior finance and investment leaders to evaluate historical results, interpret portfolio performance, and produce reporting that supports executive decision-making.
The ideal candidate will have a strong quantitative background, experience working with investment or fund data, and an interest in improving reporting processes through automation, analytics, and emerging technologies.
Key Responsibilities
- Calculate and review key investment performance measures, including IRR, time-weighted returns, equity multiples, and contribution metrics.
- Prepare quarterly performance reporting across funds, investments, and individual properties.
- Support external benchmarking submissions, including NCREIF, MSCI, and similar industry benchmarks.
- Conduct attribution, contribution, variance, and benchmark analysis to identify key drivers of performance.
- Evaluate benchmark results and broader market trends to provide context around investment performance.
- Partner with teams across fund operations, portfolio management, asset management, investor relations, communications, and external service providers to ensure accurate and timely reporting.
- Perform data validation, reconciliation, and quality-control reviews.
- Build and enhance analytical models, dashboards, databases, and reporting tools.
- Work with technology and data teams to improve automation, scalability, and reporting efficiency.
- Maintain documentation, controls, and repeatable reporting processes.
- Support ad hoc analysis and reporting requests from senior leaders and internal stakeholders.
- Participate in finance transformation, data governance, and systems-related initiatives.
- Take on additional analytical responsibilities as business needs evolve.
- Identify opportunities to streamline manual processes and improve reporting efficiency.
- Leverage approved automation and AI tools to support analysis, reporting, and workflow improvements.
- Develop scalable solutions that improve access to performance information.
- Apply emerging technologies in accordance with internal governance, privacy, and risk standards.
- Assess the limitations and risks associated with AI-enabled tools and ensure appropriate human oversight.
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Real Estate, Data Analytics, Information Systems, or a related field.
- 1–3 years of experience in investment performance, fund accounting, investment operations, financial analysis, or a similar quantitative discipline.
- Familiarity with IRR, time-weighted returns, benchmarking, and attribution analysis.
- Strong analytical, quantitative, and problem-solving skills.
- Experience working with large datasets, reconciliations, and financial reporting.
- Strong understanding of capital markets and institutional investment concepts.
- Interest in process improvement, automation, and technology-enabled reporting.
- Advanced Excel skills and strong data-analysis capabilities.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple deadlines.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively across teams and functions.
- Must be able to work onsite full time.
