About the Role
The Utilities Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the operation, maintenance, and repair of utility systems in support of contract requirements. This position provides technical leadership and supervision to assigned personnel, ensuring reliable utility services, regulatory compliance, and safe, efficient operations across the installation.
What You'll Be Doing
- Lead and oversee daily utility operations, maintenance, repairs, personnel, and resources in support of contract requirements.
- Supervise and provide technical guidance to qualified utility technicians, operators, and maintenance personnel.
- Oversee utility system inspections, preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, corrective repairs, and operational readiness.
- Plan staffing, work assignments, maintenance schedules, and operational priorities to maintain reliable utility services.
- Monitor utility system performance, identify deficiencies, and implement corrective actions to improve reliability and efficiency.
- Ensure compliance with applicable DoD, Navy, installation, safety, environmental, energy, regulatory, and Company requirements.
- Maintain accurate operational records, maintenance reports, inspection documentation, and required contract deliverables.
- Ensure assigned personnel maintain applicable technical qualifications, certifications, training, and licensing requirements.
- Coordinate with Program Management, Government representatives, maintenance teams, and other stakeholders to resolve operational issues.
- Identify opportunities to improve utility system reliability, energy efficiency, safety, and overall service delivery.
- Adhere to Company policies, procedures, and safety regulations.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
What We're Looking For
- Minimum of five (5) years of experience operating and maintaining utility systems of similar size, scope, and complexity.
- Demonstrated experience supervising utility personnel and coordinating daily utility operations, maintenance, and repair activities.
- Working knowledge of utility systems, preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, equipment inspections, and operational planning.
- Thorough knowledge of applicable safety, environmental, energy conservation, and regulatory requirements.
- Ability to interpret and apply contractual requirements, technical specifications, operating procedures, and installation emergency protocols.
- Must possess and maintain all applicable certifications, training, and licenses required for assigned utility systems and contract work.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; experience with work order systems such as Maximo preferred.
- Experience supporting federal installations or working within the government contracting environment preferred.
- Must be able to maintain the ability to access the government worksite.
- Must possess and maintain a valid state driver’s license and a safe driving record, in accordance with company policy, to operate vehicles or equipment as required for the position.
Physical Demands & Work Environment
- This position is primarily performed in an office setting; however, regular site visits and field inspections are required. Must be able to work outdoors in varying weather conditions and navigate active work sites when necessary. This may include standing, walking, bending, or climbing for extended periods while wearing personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Must be able to work on-call, alternate, and extended shift schedules when necessary to meet mission requirements, including weekends and holidays.
- Must be available on-site during Government working hours and capable of reporting on-site within one (1) hour after normal working hours.
