Job Summary

We are looking for a highly experienced Senior Android Developer with 8+ years of hands-on experience in Android application development. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Kotlin and Jetpack Compose, along with a solid understanding of modern Android development practices and architecture.

The candidate should be comfortable working independently, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and building scalable, high-performance Android applications.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and maintain high-quality Android applications using Kotlin.
• Build modern, responsive, and reusable UI components using Jetpack Compose.
• Apply Android Jetpack libraries and modern Android development best practices.
• Implement scalable application architecture using MVVM, Clean Architecture, or similar patterns.
• Develop and maintain RESTful API integrations and asynchronous workflows.
• Write clean, maintainable, testable, and well-documented code.
• Perform code reviews and provide technical guidance to other developers.
• Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve application performance and stability issues.
• Collaborate with product managers, designers, QA engineers, backend developers, and other stakeholders.
• Participate in architecture discussions and contribute to technical design decisions.
• Ensure applications meet performance, security, accessibility, and usability requirements.

Required Skills

• 8+ years of professional Android development experience.
• Strong hands-on experience with Kotlin.
• Strong hands-on experience with Jetpack Compose.
• Excellent knowledge of Android SDK and Android application lifecycle.
• Experience with Android Jetpack components such as ViewModel, Navigation, Room, WorkManager, and Lifecycle.
• Strong understanding of MVVM / Clean Architecture.
• Experience with Kotlin Coroutines, Flow, and asynchronous programming.
• Experience consuming REST APIs and working with JSON.
• Experience with dependency injection frameworks such as Hilt/Dagger.
• Strong understanding of Git and modern software development practices.
• Experience writing unit and UI tests.
• Good understanding of Android performance optimization and debugging.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience migrating legacy Android applications to Kotlin and Jetpack Compose.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and automated Android builds.
• Familiarity with Firebase and Google Play services.
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
• Strong communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and effectively in a collaborative team environment.
