Education and Experience Requirements

 Education: Bachelor''s degree in Engineering required (Mechanical, Electrical, or Agricultural Engineering specified later)

• Years of experience:

 2–4 years required • Internships accepted as job experience

Top 3 Must-Have Skills

 1. Previous testing experience

 2. Product development experience

3. Demonstrated mechanical system troubleshooting skills Additional 

Desired Technical Skills

• Desired: DEWESoft DAS experience, CANape experience

Required Skills

 • Ability to make sketches, engineering drawings, and common computations

• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, schematics, and computer-generated reports

 Job Description 

 • Main function: Research and investigate the design, functionality, and maintenance of mechanical products, equipment, systems, and processes

 • Must be able to make engineering drawings and read/interpret blueprints

• Research, design, develop, manufacture, and test tools, engines, machines, and other mechanical devices

• Research and analyze customer design proposals, specifications, and manuals to determine time and cost feasibility

 • Investigate equipment failures and diagnose faulty operation; make recommendations to maintenance crew

• Assist drafters in developing structural product designs using tools, equipment, or software

• Position''s contribution: Support lab testing of electric drive components and systems, including performance and durability testing

• Surrounding team: Works with cross-functional teams including design, controls, simulation, and facility design

 • Purpose of team: Testing and validation of electrification components
