The Warehouse Manager will be responsible for purchasing, receiving, inventory management, order tracking, picking, employee training, safety, and continuous process improvement.

This position plays a critical role in supporting our installation operations. The primary focus is ensuring that our warehouses are properly stocked, organized, and prepared to support installation crews, while providing timely assistance to Install Team Leaders with material requests, equipment needs, and replacement parts. This includes some responsibility for logistics that will occasionally require travel to other warehouses or job sites to complete deliveries. This job requires the ability to be DOT certified and drive a 26 foot box truck.

The ideal candidate is an organized, hands-on leader with strong warehouse, inventory, logistics, and team-management experience who can establish efficient processes while maintaining a safe and productive work environment.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Oversee the daily operations of three warehouses, including shipping, receiving, inventory, stocking, picking, and material handling.
  • Ensure all materials and equipment are accurately prepared and available for installation crews.
  • Manage purchasing, stock levels, reordering, and vendor relationships.
  • Establish and maintain effective inventory control systems and procedures.
  • Track orders and ensure materials are received accurately and on time.
  • Inspect incoming materials and equipment for proper quantity, quality, and condition.
  • Manage returns, replacement parts, and the RMA (Return Merchandise Authorization) process.
  • Prepare materials and equipment for out-of-town and extended installation projects.
  • Select, document, and maintain equipment and material inventories for installation crews.
  • Maintain appropriate vehicle stock levels and ensure proper tool allocation.
  • Manage service truck parts and supply inventory.
  • Track and label pallets, materials, equipment, and other warehouse assets.
  • Maintain organized, clean, and safe warehouse and yard areas.
  • Manage excess, obsolete, damaged, and surplus inventory, including appropriate disposal.
  • Maintain inventory of company workwear, PPE, and safety equipment.
  • Respond to material requests and replacement needs from Install Team Leaders.
  • Provide support by delivering or running needed materials to job sites when necessary.
  • Train, direct, and supervise warehouse personnel.
  • Evaluate employee performance and provide coaching and development as needed.
  • Identify opportunities to improve warehouse processes, productivity, organization, and efficiency.
  • Promote and enforce company safety policies and safe material-handling practices.
  • Work closely with Operations, Purchasing, Installation, and other departments to ensure materials are available when needed.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE & SKILLS

  • 5+ years of hands-on warehouse, materials management, inventory control, logistics, supply chain, or related experience.
  • Strong knowledge of shipping, receiving, warehouse operations, and material handling.
  • Previous experience managing, directing, and developing warehouse employees.
  • Strong organizational and inventory-management skills.
  • Ability to develop and maintain effective vendor relationships.
  • Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel, email, and other basic business applications.
  • Experience with inventory tracking and warehouse management systems preferred.
  • Forklift operation experience.
  • Experience safely and effectively using hand and power tools.
  • Ability to legally and safely operate a motor vehicle, including vehicles up to a 26-foot truck.
  • Strong attention to detail with a focus on accuracy, quality, and accountability.
  • Strong verbal, written, and electronic communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team and foster a positive "can-do" team environment.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and work effectively in a fast-paced, growing organization.
  • Ability to occasionally travel and work away from home as business needs require.
  • Successful completion of required pre-employment drug screening, background check, and motor vehicle record check.
