GIS Analyst (FME Specialist)
21.53 per hour Remote - Mainland UK based only Contract until 31st March 2027
We're recruiting for an experienced GIS Analyst to join a major environmental organisation and support a key woodland programme. Joining an established project, you'll play a vital role in developing and maintaining geospatial data workflows, with FME (Feature Manipulation Engine) experience being essential.
Key Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain and improve geospatial workflows using FME.
• Automate data processing, integration and quality assurance activities.
• Manage, analyse and transform complex environmental and ecological datasets.
• Create mapping products, spatial datasets and decision-support tools.
• Work closely with technical specialists and ecological experts to interpret survey data.
• Document workflows and communicate technical information to non-technical audiences.
• Ensure data management activities comply with GDPR requirements.

About You

• Strong GIS experience.
• Proven experience using FME (Feature Manipulation Engine).
• Experience creating automated data workflows.
• Knowledge of environmental and ecological datasets.
• Strong understanding of spatial data management and analysis.
• Knowledge of GDPR and data governance principles.
• Able to manage complex datasets and communicate with a wide range of stakeholders.
