Power BI Developer (PowerQuery, DAX)

Job Title: Power BI Developer
Location: Canary Wharf, 3 days onsite per week
Contract Duration: 6 Months initially but up to 2 years for the right person!
Pay Rate: 416 Per Day Umbrella

Key Experience Required:

• Proven experience as a Power BI Developer, with a strong background demonstrating expertise in data visualisation and reporting.
• Proficient in DAX, Power Query, and data modelling within Power BI.
• Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret complex data sets and derive meaningful insights.
• Familiarity with SQL and database management.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• Hands on experience with JavaScript, HTML5 and Rest API knowledge desired
• Banking or regulated industry background desired

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain robust Power BI dashboards and reports that provide actionable insights to stakeholders.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and translate business needs into analytical solutions.
• Optimise existing Power BI reports and enhance data visualisation to ensure clarity and effectiveness.
• Conduct data analysis to identify trends, patterns, and anomalies that can drive strategic decision-making.
• Provide support and training to users on Power BI tools and best practises.
