About the Role:

As Director of Medical Affairs, you are a senior scientific leader within Click Therapeutics' Medical Affairs organization, working across our portfolio. Reporting to the Vice President of Medical Affairs, you own the scientific evidence and the scientific relationships that establish our treatments with clinicians, payers and the wider medical community: what the evidence says, what it means clinically and economically, where the gaps are, and how it reaches the people who make treatment and coverage decisions.

You will build the medical strategy and tactics that inform clinical and payer decision-making, develop the evidence strategy and medical materials needed, and engage the experts and institutions that shape how a new therapeutic category is understood. You will direct the agencies, CROs and vendors that execute it, and establish the Medical Information, medical review and Medical Affairs governance that scale with the portfolio.

If you have an entrepreneurial spirit, a strategic mind, and a strong record of building medical value stories, evidence plans and scientific relationships in a regulated environment, you are the right candidate. This is an agile position within a rapidly growing pre-IPO company in a nascent and fast-growing space.

This position is based out of Click’s headquarters located in Tribeca, NYC, at the center of one of the fastest-growing digital health communities or remote. We have a hybrid working model that consists of at least 4 days in office each week.

Responsibilities:

Medical Strategy & Evidence

  • Define the medical strategy for each asset, including the target patient profile, clinical place in therapy, and the priorities that guide evidence generation and scientific engagement.
  • Establish the clinical meaningfulness of trial endpoints and outcome measures, and monitor the clinical and competitive landscape to identify emerging tactics, arguments and gaps in our data packages.
  • Own the evidence plan to address the evidence needs of clinicians and payers, and drive its execution.

Scientific Communications

  • Develop and maintain the Core Medical Narrative for each asset, and build the field medical materials, medical value story decks and payer-facing scientific content, including the clinical sections of Value Dossiers and evidence packages with Market Access.
  • Own the publication and congress plan, managing medical communications agencies and writers as the scientific reviewer accountable for accuracy and balance.
  • Establish and own Medical Information to support timely, accurate and balanced responses to unsolicited requests from HCPs.

External Engagement

  • Own the engagement strategy for each asset: identify, segment and prioritize the national and regional experts, institutions and payer clinical decision-makers.
  • Lead compliant peer-to-peer scientific exchange with clinical experts, health systems, advocacy organizations and payer medical leadership, and direct our scientific presence at major congresses and advisory boards.
  • Drive and synthesize field insight into recommendations that shape medical strategy, scientific content and evidence priorities.

Qualifications:

At Click, we aren't just looking for talent; we are looking for the next evolution of the modern professional. To us, AI is not a future possibility, it is a present-day prerequisite. We expect every Click colleague to have seamlessly integrated AI into their professional workflow and personal productivity, using it as a force multiplier to move faster, think deeper, and deliver superlative results that were previously out of reach. If you do not yet view AI as an essential partner in your daily pursuit of excellence, you will find it impossible to keep pace with our mission. High performers who harness AI technology to transcend traditional boundaries and set new benchmarks for professional excellence will thrive at Click.

  • Education & Experience

    • Advanced degree required (MD, DO, PhD or PharmD).
    • 10+ years of combined industry, academic, clinical research, or other clinical practice experience, of which at least 5 years in the pharmaceutical industry, including experience supporting a product launch.
    • Demonstrated experience building medical value stories, scientific narratives and medical response content that hold up with clinicians, payers and regulators.
    • Experience planning and executing evidence and publication strategy, including study design, protocol development and CRO, agency and vendor management.
    • Prior field-based experience, such as an MSL role, with a track record of building peer-to-peer scientific relationships with clinical experts and payer decision-makers and translating those conversations into medical impact.
    • Strong analytical judgment: able to interpret trial statistics and outcome measures; critically assess evidence strengths and gaps; and communicate complex data clearly.

Click Preferred Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of or experience with Digital Therapeutics and/or Prescription Digital Therapeutics is considered a plus.

  • Experience establishing Medical Affairs infrastructure in an early-stage or pre-commercial organization.

Compensation:

The base salary range for this position is between $175,000 - $220,000. The final base salary will be dependent upon skills, experience and location. In addition to the base salary, Click Therapeutics offers an annual performance-based cash bonus and a generous equity package.
