Senior Technical Analyst – Agilent OpenLAB CDS / AWS

Location: West Point, PA / Rahway, NJ – Onsite as required

Job Summary

We are seeking a Senior Technical Analyst with strong experience supporting Agilent OpenLAB CDS 2.x platforms in a pharmaceutical R&D laboratory environment. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with chromatography data systems, Agilent Instrument Controllers (AIC), AWS infrastructure, GxP validation, IQ/OQ testing, SDLC documentation, and laboratory system deployments.

The candidate will support configuration, build, validation, release, deployment, troubleshooting, and post-production support for a global enterprise OpenLAB CDS environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support configuration, build, validation, and release activities for Agilent OpenLAB CDS 2.x.

  • Assist technical leads with OpenLAB CDS platform architecture and solution design.

  • Configure and support AWS cloud resources required for OpenLAB CDS workflows.

  • Support AWS services including EC2, EBS, VPC, IAM, S3, CloudWatch, and CloudTrail.

  • Manage deployment resources and coordinate daily/weekly activities.

  • Configure, build, deploy, and troubleshoot Agilent Instrument Controller (AIC) computers.

  • Troubleshoot instrument connectivity and OpenLAB CDS software connection issues.

  • Coordinate with project teams to ensure AICs are deployable according to laboratory migration plans.

  • Develop and execute requirement test scripts.

  • Prepare and maintain SDLC documentation.

  • Develop and support IQ/OQ test cases and assist testing teams during UAT.

  • Support upgrades and migrations of chromatography data systems in regulated environments.

  • Provide technical support for large laboratory environments with 400+ users and instruments.

  • Work closely with technical, project, laboratory, and business stakeholders.

  • Produce validation documentation, training materials, and operational procedures.

  • Conduct individual and group training sessions when required.

  • Support post-release operations and troubleshooting activities.

  • Travel to West Point, PA and/or Rahway, NJ as required.

Required Skills

  • 5+ years of hands-on experience with Agilent OpenLAB CDS 2.x

  • Strong experience troubleshooting OpenLAB CDS and instrument connectivity issues.

  • Experience supporting Chromatography Data Systems (CDS) in pharmaceutical R&D.

  • Experience working in GxP and non-GxP laboratory environments.

  • Strong understanding of AWS infrastructure and services.

  • Experience with AWS EC2, EBS, VPC, IAM, S3, CloudWatch, CloudTrail.

  • Experience with Agilent Instrument Controllers (AIC).

  • Experience with laboratory system migrations and upgrades.

  • Strong knowledge of GxP validation / qualification.

  • Hands-on experience with IQ/OQ documentation and testing.

  • Experience supporting UAT.

  • Strong SDLC documentation experience.

  • Demonstrated experience supervising or coordinating small technical teams.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Ability to communicate technical configuration decisions to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

  • Ability to work onsite at West Point and/or Rahway when required.
