Production Supervisor

Overview

We're hiring an experienced Production Supervisor to lead manufacturing operations at Rogers facility.

This is a hands-on production leadership role supporting a precision manufacturing environment producing engineered carbide and wear-resistant components. The operation includes a mix of pressing, sintering, precision grinding, machining, finishing, inspection, and automated manufacturing processes.

You'll be responsible for daily production execution across your assigned departments—setting priorities, allocating labor, managing performance, solving production issues, and ensuring the team delivers safely, efficiently, and on schedule.

The strongest candidates will have experience supervising production teams in a structured manufacturing environment.

Compensation

• $82,000 - $92,000

Responsibilities

• Production Leadership: Direct daily manufacturing activities and ensure teams execute safely, efficiently, and according to production priorities.
• Scheduling & Prioritization: Coordinate labor, equipment, and production schedules to meet customer requirements and delivery commitments.
• Labor Allocation: Adjust staffing and manpower across departments based on workload, equipment availability, and changing production needs.
• Team Development: Train, coach, and develop operators and production employees while maintaining clear performance expectations.
• Safety & EHS: Reinforce safe work practices and ensure compliance with plant safety and environmental requirements.
• Quality Performance: Ensure manufacturing processes consistently meet product specifications, quality standards, and documented procedures.
• Daily Problem-Solving: Address production constraints involving staffing, equipment, tooling, quality, materials, and workflow.
• Cross-Functional Coordination: Partner with Engineering, Maintenance, Quality, Planning, and EHS to resolve issues and improve production performance.
• Continuous Improvement: Support Lean, Six Sigma, waste-reduction, productivity, and cost-improvement initiatives.
• Delivery Performance: Monitor production progress, lead times, and department performance to maintain customer delivery commitments.

Qualifications

Required

• Bachelor's degree
• 5+ years of manufacturing experience
• Experience supervising production workers
• Comfortable splitting time between office and plant floor
• Able to wear safety glasses, safety shoes, and hard hat

Preferred

• Experience in metalworking, machining, grinding, and other metallurgical processes
• Experience supervising multiple manufacturing processes or departments
• Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or other continuous-improvement systems
• Experience with SAP or another manufacturing ERP system
• Familiarity with ISO or structured quality-management systems
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Operations, Business, or a related field
• Experience with automated manufacturing equipment or technically complex production processes
