Job description

Job Title: ON-SITE - Climate Risk Data Analyst - HBITS-08-15030

Location:  New York, NY 10004

Duration: Long-term (30) 

Job Description:  

  • 36 months of experience cleaning and organizing data, using Excel

  • 36 months of experience working with large datasets (100K to 1M+ rows) using MS Excel or similar tools

  • 36 months of experience with sourcing publicly available data

  • 24 months of experience using statistical packages, like R, Stata, pandas to analyze data

  • 36 months experience with MS Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe software

  • 24 months of experience tracking and/or coordinating projects

  • Bachelor's Degree in economics, statistics, public policy, climate, or related disciplines

  • 36 months experience working collaboratively in matrixed teams, while managing stakeholder relationships. For example: working on or owning a component of a project with multiple owners, requiring sign-off from separate divisions

  • 12 months of experience in climate-related topics or climate-related financial risks

  • 12 months of experience in financial services (banking, insurance, etc.) related topics

Detailed Job Description: Analyst will use Excel, and if needed, statistical packages, to conduct background research related to climate/regulatory topics and support data cleaning and analysis, to analyze New York's climate risk and its impacts to DFS regulated entities and the communities they serve. Analyst will also track Division-wide project progress and completion. These tasks will inform and support policy development.
