Software Developer

This employer in Sydney wants a Software Developer who can own work across the whole development lifecycle. That means taking a client's brief, turning it into a working web or software application, then testing, releasing and supporting it with help from the QA, cloud and project teams.

What the business needs most is a developer with commercial experience who is comfortable in ReactJS and in back-end services. Visa sponsorship is available for the right candidate, and the employer asks for full Australian work rights. Applications are accepted until 13 November 2026.

• Designing web and software applications around client requirements
• Developing and maintaining those applications
• Building responsive interfaces for the front end with ReactJS
• Developing back-end services, APIs and databases, and integrating them
• Writing clean code with good documentation that can be tested
• Joining code reviews, testing and debugging with the QA team
• Supporting deployment across CI/CD pipelines and cloud environments
• Working with clients and stakeholders on requirements so solutions arrive on time
• Staying up to date with best practices and new technologies

• A completed Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, Software Engineering or a field related to these
• 2 to 4 years spent developing software commercially
• Strong JavaScript/TypeScript ability
• Strong ReactJS ability
• Back-end experience covering at least one of Java, Python, Node.js or .NET
• A good grasp of SQL and of relational databases
• Experience with Git
• Experience of agile ways of working
• Clear communication in English, written and verbal
• Full working rights in Australia
• Experience with a cloud platform (AWS or Azure) together with familiarity with DevOps tools (Docker, Jenkins, Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions)
