The Role • Operate heavy machinery, including hostlers, cranes, top loaders, and side loaders, to move shipping containers. • Load and unload containers from railcars and trucks with precision and safety. • Drive hostlers to efficiently position containers and chassis within the intermodal yard. • Conduct pre- and post-operation equipment inspections to ensure safety and functionality. • Coordinate with yard personnel and supervisors to manage daily logistics and tasks effectively. • Maintain a safe working environment by adhering to all established protocols and procedures. What You'll Need • A valid driver's license is mandatory for this position. • Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions and perform physically demanding tasks. • Strong commitment to safety standards and a keen attention to detail. • Willingness to work flexible hours, including shifts, weekends, and holidays. • Basic communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively within a team. • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and climb ladders/stairs on railcars and equipment.
