Oracle DBA with Essbase and ODI/OCI

Title: Oracle Cloud (OCI) Run & Maintain Support – Essbase / ODI

Engagement Type:  Operate (run) project

100% Remote

Purpose: Provide ongoing operational support, maintenance, and patching for the client's Oracle analytics and data integration environment hosted in OCI.

Scope of Services

• Run and maintain production and non-production environments
• General maintenance and routine administration
• On-call support for incidents and after-hours issues
• Patching and upgrades, including OCI infrastructure patching
• Monitoring, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis
• Documentation of procedures, runbooks, and changes
• Daily touch base with client 

Technology Coverage

Primary (required expertise):

• Oracle Essbase: Security and provisioning, quarterly patching
• Oracle Data Integrator (ODI): monitoring and troubleshooting scenarios and load plans, agent management, repository maintenance, job scheduling, failure resolution.  HIPPA and PII data

Secondary (working knowledge):

• Oracle Autonomous Data Warehouse (ADW): basic administration, user and schema management, performance monitoring
• Oracle Analytics Cloud (OAC): service administration, user access, connection and content support
• OCI infrastructure: compute, networking, user creation and patching coordination

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure availability, performance, and stability of Essbase and ODI environments
• Resolve incidents and service requests within agreed SLAs
• Execute scheduled patching and maintenance windows with minimal downtime
• Participate in on-call rotation
• Coordinate with the client team, Oracle Support, and other vendors as needed
• Provide status updates and incident reports

Required Qualifications

• Hands-on experience supporting Essbase and ODI in production
• Experience with OCI 
• Familiarity with ADW and OAC
• Strong troubleshooting and communication skills
• Ability to work independently and support after-hours coverage
