Work Arrangement: Hybrid (Candidates must reside in Michigan; onsite presence may be required at least once per week)

Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead and manage complex Privacy & Security IT initiatives. This role will be responsible for driving end-to-end project execution, coordinating cross-functional stakeholders, and ensuring successful delivery of strategic integration and operational initiatives. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership, communication, and project planning skills, with experience managing large-scale, multi-stakeholder projects in research, healthcare, or related environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end integration of animal research programs across multiple institutions.
- Develop and execute integration roadmaps encompassing governance, operations, compliance, and infrastructure alignment.
- Coordinate cross-functional teams including veterinary services, IACUC, research administration, facilities, and other stakeholders.
- Conceptualize project objectives and develop comprehensive project plans, including scope, timelines, deliverables, resource allocation, risk assessments, and contingency strategies.
- Establish project priorities and continuously monitor project status to ensure milestones are achieved.
- Provide regular written and verbal updates to leadership and stakeholders, communicating progress, risks, findings, recommendations, and key decisions.
- Identify, analyze, and resolve project-related issues, conflicts, and challenges in a timely and effective manner.
- Assess current-state operations and identify opportunities for process alignment, optimization, and efficiency improvements.
- Develop and implement unified policies while ensuring compliance with applicable regulatory requirements, including USDA, AAALAC, and OLAW standards.
- Establish and maintain project schedules, resource plans, risk mitigation strategies, and budget considerations where applicable.
- Facilitate communication between stakeholders and leadership to support informed decision-making.
- Lead organizational change management efforts and promote collaboration across integrated teams.
- Conduct post-implementation reviews and support continuous improvement initiatives.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of project management experience in research, healthcare, or a related field.
- Demonstrated experience managing complex projects involving multiple stakeholders and cross-functional teams.
- Strong project planning, organizational, and execution skills.
- Excellent communication, presentation, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Knowledge of animal research regulatory frameworks and compliance requirements.
- Experience working with USDA, AAALAC, OLAW, or similar regulatory organizations.
- Experience leading integration, transformation, or organizational change
