Job Title: Project Manager – Privacy & Security IT

Location: Rochester Hills, MI 48309
Work Arrangement: Hybrid (Candidates must reside in Michigan; onsite presence may be required at least once per week)

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead and manage complex Privacy & Security IT initiatives. This role will be responsible for driving end-to-end project execution, coordinating cross-functional stakeholders, and ensuring successful delivery of strategic integration and operational initiatives. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership, communication, and project planning skills, with experience managing large-scale, multi-stakeholder projects in research, healthcare, or related environments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead end-to-end integration of animal research programs across multiple institutions.
  • Develop and execute integration roadmaps encompassing governance, operations, compliance, and infrastructure alignment.
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams including veterinary services, IACUC, research administration, facilities, and other stakeholders.
  • Conceptualize project objectives and develop comprehensive project plans, including scope, timelines, deliverables, resource allocation, risk assessments, and contingency strategies.
  • Establish project priorities and continuously monitor project status to ensure milestones are achieved.
  • Provide regular written and verbal updates to leadership and stakeholders, communicating progress, risks, findings, recommendations, and key decisions.
  • Identify, analyze, and resolve project-related issues, conflicts, and challenges in a timely and effective manner.
  • Assess current-state operations and identify opportunities for process alignment, optimization, and efficiency improvements.
  • Develop and implement unified policies while ensuring compliance with applicable regulatory requirements, including USDA, AAALAC, and OLAW standards.
  • Establish and maintain project schedules, resource plans, risk mitigation strategies, and budget considerations where applicable.
  • Facilitate communication between stakeholders and leadership to support informed decision-making.
  • Lead organizational change management efforts and promote collaboration across integrated teams.
  • Conduct post-implementation reviews and support continuous improvement initiatives.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of project management experience in research, healthcare, or a related field.
  • Demonstrated experience managing complex projects involving multiple stakeholders and cross-functional teams.
  • Strong project planning, organizational, and execution skills.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Knowledge of animal research regulatory frameworks and compliance requirements.
  • Experience working with USDA, AAALAC, OLAW, or similar regulatory organizations.
  • Experience leading integration, transformation, or organizational change
