The Role

• Installation of a variety of cables and electrical systems, including junction boxes, fuse panels, and transformers.
• Performing cable terminations and installation of all electrical equipment to trade standards.
• Interpreting electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical documentation.
• Collaborating with shipbuilding teams to ensure efficient completion of electrical installations.
• Ensuring all work meticulously complies with stringent safety and quality standards.

What You'll Need

• A completed Modern Apprenticeship (SVQ Level 3) or equivalent trade qualification with a SJIB card.
• Proven experience in marine installations or major industrial environments.
• Familiarity with risk assessments, PUWER, COSHH, and safe working procedures.
• Ability to read and follow trade drawings, electrical schematics, and technical instructions.
• Understanding of tag-out processes and safe proving-dead procedures.
• Skilled in mounting electrical equipment, earthing components, and completing cable terminations.
